The answer to this question depends on a few things. How nice do you want to keep your car? What kind of car do you have? How old is it? Having said all that, with most vehicles we recommend having them auto-detailed at least twice a year.

This might vary depending on the size of your vehicle, as well as how dirty it is, but most auto-detailing jobs take about two hours to complete.

Some people are hesitant about waxing their vehicles, but they shouldn’t be. Waxing adds a layer of wax on top of your paint that protects it from UV rays, acid rain, dust particles, and other potential contaminants that threaten your paint.

Larger vehicles take more time to clean and detail, so just like if your vehicle is excessively dirty, it will cost more to have a larger vehicle detailed.

While there’s certainly no need to roll right off the lot and head to an auto detail shop, we do recommend you have it auto detailed within the first year of ownership. If you want to preserve your vehicle, you have to start early. You could also consider having a paint protection system applied.

If you’re just having your exterior done, then there’s not really much you need to do. If you have a bike rack, or something like that, take that off, but that’s it. If you’re having the interior of your vehicle detailed, you’ll want to clear out any items you have in there.
